"Hi! My name is Kimberly Zammit and I am 11 years of age. I attend Carlo Diacono School and this is a new school for me. I live at Zabbar in a family of 4; my mother, my father, my little brother and of course myself.

Google Earth in the Class |
In Skolazine issue 3, we have featured Google Earth in the downloads section. If you haven't installed it yet, then you can do so by going to http://earth.google.com.
Google Earth in the Classroom
Teachers around the world are discovering how Google Earth can be used to enhance their classrooms. They're publishing lesson plans for geography activities, and others are publishing Google Earth-related spins on works of literature (see, for instance, places quoted in Shakespeare from this BBS post).
Here's a summary of some of Google Earth's educational uses and resources. ◄

Over 30,000 Posts |
Hundreds of students and teachers have already registered and became members in the Skola Forum.
There are currently 453 members of whom 235 have posted messages. Some members, about 60 students and teachers, use the forum regularly - almost daily. Together, they have posted more than 30,000 posts!
Our aim is that more students and teachers make use of the forum. Now that we're back to school, I expect that this forum will be used by students to ask any difficulties they may encounter while doing their HW and when studying. There are teachers of about every school subject using the forum, and they will be more than willing to help.
So, register and use the Skola Forum to be able to communicate with others students and teachers and clarify any questions you have related to school subjects. To register go to http://skola.gov.mt and click on "Register Here" that is found under "Skola Forum" on the right side of the page. ◄
